IME, and its specialist ship management firm ARMINA, act as trusted partners to the world’s marine and shipping industry to help keep their fleets moving by trading and supplying fuel; owning and managing an ever-growing fleet of ships; and offering ship, cargo, and crew management services.
We were established after our founder spotted a gap in the market for a business that could provide shipowners and charterers with trusted advice built on personal relationships.
Our unique lens of the industry means we recognise our customers’ need to access a range of services, which is why our business is built to look at the industry from end to end: from bunker trade to physical supply, to vessel chartering to ship management.

In the decade since we were founded, we’ve grown from a team of five to a global team of experts with diverse backgrounds in shipping and transport, trading, and physical supply, as well as finance and regulation, who can think creatively and act rapidly in response to any challenge.
We’ve expanded from a small roster of clients to a list which features internationally recognised marine and shipping organisations. Our growth has seen us enter new markets, from East to West, to ensure that we’re there whenever our clients need us. We’ve expanded our business from bunker trading to one that now extends down into the supply chain, offering a wide array of services to our customers, with ambitions to go further.
As we continue to grow our business into new markets worldwide, our focus will be on ensuring that we continue to provide customers with a 360-degree approach that puts their needs at the heart of our strategy.
